A multidisciplinary team of individuals drawn from across the professions
Jackie has worked in financial services since 1988 in both technical and client-facing roles as a paraplanner and adviser. She started her financial planning career in 1999 when she joined the Institute of Financial Planning as the Director of Training and Education. She was also the caretaker of the global Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP) standards in the UK for three years and contributed to the development of the Financial Services Authority’s Retail Distribution Review (RDR) exam framework as well as ISO advice standards.
She then spent 10 years at the trade body The Association of Investment Companies, where she created and delivered both face-to-face and online training for wealth managers and financial advisers.
Latterly, Jackie spent over four years at CISI as Head of Financial Planning, overseeing the re-engineering of the new Certified Financial Planner pathway, writing, and speaking out on financial planning matters as well as working with the Financial Planning Standards Board’s (FPSB) international financial planning community to improve standards of advice globally.
In February 2021 she started her own financial planning consultancy business, helping financial planners through their CFP certification assessment and offering an off the shelf new entrant scheme specifically designed for small and medium financial planning businesses who are looking for a complete pathway of training to support the next generation of financial planning professionals.
She also continues to work as a consultant to the FPSB in Denver, USA. Jackie has extensive experience in knowing what good advice looks like, along with how that can be assessed and monitored. She joined the RQ team as a consultant in October 2022 to help create the RQ Certification Framework.
